First run and Pizza!

Yesterday, Jim and I went for our first run in Boise. We tried out part of the Boise Greenbelt trail that runs along the river. There's an entrance basically right in our backyard (part of the reason we chose our apartment complex). It was serene and scenic - vegetation on one side and the river on the other. We wound up in Veterans Memorial Park - which was part park/park nature preserve with great trails and little swimming lake that Jim plans to try out during the day next week while I am at work. The whole thing had the feel of being in Black Butte or Sunriver. The elevation made running a tad more difficult, but we hope to get used to that soon.

For dinner, we tried out our local pizza joint - being pizza fanatics, finding "our" pizza place was tops on the list for checking out Boise. It's call the Flying Pie Pizzaria (http://www.flyingpie.com/). They have great beers on tap (Jim was stoked!), friendly staff, a delicious pizza menu and by the time we left we were pretty darn sure we didn't need to audition any other pizza places for the title. Now, a dip in the pool and heading to downtown Boise to explore before my flight tonight.

  1. I just single-handedly doubled your blog's "follower" population. Me and Katrina are holding it down for the P-Town. Seriously though, you need to post more blogs. I am coming home tomorrow and I have no job yet, so I need reading material. I'm thinking of moving into your spare bedrom and starting my own blog which will be a satire of yours called "My own private room in Kelley and Jim's private Idaho."
